Dandayamana Janushirasana Standing Head to Knee Pose

 

Dandayamana-Janushirasana-This is an advanced very powerful balancing forward bending posture, working to increase the strength of the back and muscles surrounding the spine, tightens the abdominal and thigh muscles. Strengthens hamstrings,thigh biceps, deltoids, latissimus dorsi, trapezius, scapula, biceps and triceps.

Benefits: Strengthens hamstrings, tendons, deltoids, trapezius, latissimus dorsi, scapula area, biceps. Improves sciatic nerve flexibility.

Anatomical focus: Quadriceps, hips, hamstrings.

Contraindications and Cautions: Ankle Injury, lower back injury, arm surgery or severe pain, knee injury, foot injury, tennis elbow,pregnancy.
